Basketball tryouts began for Clintondale varsity on November 5, 2018.

Participants said “they started off by running up and down the stairs followed by a mile with a set time of 8 minutes.” Those activities were followed by more running, Coach Townsend was separating his strong players from his weak players. Coach continued to make players condition with defensive slides and back push up after missed layups or dunks. He told all the players to come prepared because he was going to see who was determined to play the game and he did.

Coach Townsend has a great tryout squad so I’m expecting great things from the basketball team this year.  There are also more than five returning players, so that’s something to look out for.

Joshua is in the 12th grade at Clintondale.  He plays football on the varsity team, and he likes working out, playing football, and playing the game.
