On Saturday, March 24, Deonte Higgins, William Bakeman, Josh Warlick, Henry Jemison, Jasmine Clark, and a few others were invited to come live a day as a police officer.

On this day the students are shown: what a police officer’s average day consists of, how a normal arrest could turn into a life or death situation, and how a police officer tries their best to make sure they and the victim make it out of the situation safe.

Students were sent through different scenes where they had no idea how things were going to turn out. Just like a typical police officer, they had to react as quickly as possible and make the smartest moves.

Many of the students asked to join this next year and were told if they do have interest in law enforcement, they should go through training with Macomb.
